SERICULTURE FARMING BUSINESS...

    In the last blog we learnt about

Nursary farming business , this blog is very interesting and I am giving you idea of such business which is very profitable and unfortunately not popular. This is a sericulture business. As India is agriculture country and most the peoples are depended on agree ,this is very suitable business plan.

 *Raw material for sericulture:

   *Land about 1/2 or 1 ekar, for  mulberry plantation.

    *Sheds, and racks of 20ft long and 5ft height for cultivation silkwarms

     *300 eggs of adult moth
       100 eggs/750rs

     *Mulberry plants in a ekar.

     *Required fertilizers
     *Availability of water.

   *Process of mulberry plantation:

Mulberry can grow in any type of plant. This are deep rooted plants and having capacity of 15yrs. Field should be ploughed to 30-40cm. Plantation is done by cutting method for which old mulberry shouts are used. Prevent them from disease by appropriate fertilizing and increase yeild by using cattle manure.

*Process of rearing of silkwarms:

Cultivation of silkwarms most important thing is the food of warms . Silkwarms only eat mulberry leaves. So take crop of mulberry in half or ekar as possible. Cultivate mulberry 3 month before cultivating the shed.
Buy the quality eggs of the specific date ,which born in trays. After coming in shed they complete their cycle of 27 days.
Silkwarms are very delicate take care of them like our baby's. Feed them twice a day when they were in first stage. And thrice a day when they were in 3rd and 4th molt in adequate quantity.

Day by day silkwarms eat rapidly mulberry leaves they comes in adult tasting phase and secreat harmones from mouth.They form a  thick cover around their complete body from mouth.This are the cocoons. This tiny thread like structure are nothing but the silk.

*Process of silk formation:

Cocoons-Cocoons are tough thread structure. After the devolpment of pupa adult moth breaks cocoons and fly away. After the processing of cocoon silk is obtain. It takes complete 27days to silk formation.

* Marketing:

Ramnagar is the famous market for cocoons marketing.

We can earn about 300-500rs per kg of cocoons.

*Labour cost:

I think you will not require any labour if you are husband wife and giving full time to your farm.

But if required you can put a skills labour.

 *Earning/business cost:

You can take about 7 batches in year.And per batch gives you about 90 thousand to 1 lack. Bahind per batch you will have to pay about 10thousand; your business cost is about lack .For shed formation you will cost about 3.50 lack. Government give subsidy for shed under MSME.

Your total business profit is about 6 to 7 lack.

*Precautions:

Caring of silkwarms is not hard but tricky. Care the warms like your child.
1)Beds of warms should be clean.
2)Provide correct tempreture of 25-27 and humidity to grow properly.
3)Sheds must be disinfected every day.
4)Take care of warms from ants, flies etc..
5)Spread some insecticide, pesticides over warms ...
